I fucking love ambient music. So many people are like "uuuugh this is like seeeeew boring." or like "omg this is too slow." Fuck that. You're too slow. I've recently been getting way into downtempo, ambient, psymbiant, psydub etc.. I love how intricate and beautiful it is, the way the sounds play off each other. And gotta love that laid back, grinding ass bassline you get on occasions. That shit drives me insane. Also, it's fantastic music to fall asleep/dream to. I havn't lucid dreamed in forever and I fucking miss it. I've been hoping that some dope tracks will help me dream better, and while I'm not so sure about that, it sure as hell helps me fall asleep.

Ambient music is great for the way that the songs use the sonic space. People shouldn't listen to ambient/minimal expecting speed or power, methinks.

ReplyDeleteWhat's psydub exactly? Like what separates it from dub or dare I say dubstep? Heard that name on a forum and it sounds real fuckin neato man you should post up some psydub artists for me to blaze to.
Also check out Chill Murray.. One of the best newish bands I've found.
